Bar & Bat Mitzvah Dessert Catering in Cincinnati

A mitzvah reception has two crowds in one room, and dessert is where they finally mix.

What we bring

Two stations, made in front of your guests

The teenagers are on the dance floor and the adults are at the tables, and for most of the evening those are two separate parties. A live dessert station is one of the few things that pulls both to the same spot — the kids because it is interactive and they can build their own, the adults because it is something they have not seen at the last four receptions.

It also lands at the right moment. Mitzvah receptions run long, and there is a predictable dip after the meal and the speeches when the room needs a second act. That is when we start cooking.

We serve from a compact station, so it fits a synagogue social hall, a hotel ballroom or a private venue without needing kitchen access. Guests take a boat of warm mini pancakes or a cup of chocolate covered strawberries and carry on talking.

Questions

Mitzvahs, answered

Can you cater a kosher event?

Ask us before you book. We are not going to claim a certification we do not hold, and for a mitzvah that detail matters more than it does at most events — so tell us what your venue or rabbi requires and we will tell you straight away whether we can meet it.

How does this work alongside a dessert table or a cake?

It works best as a second dessert moment rather than a replacement. The cake gets its moment, and the station opens later in the evening when the room needs a reason to get up again.

How many guests can you serve?

We have served more than 1,700 customers across each three-day Taste of Cincinnati, three years running, so a full reception is well within what our team is set up for. Tell us your headcount and we will size the station to it.
