What we do
Dessert that gets made where your guests are standing
Most dessert catering arrives finished. Trays are dropped off before the guests, sit under a cover through dinner, and are eaten a few hours after they were made. It works, and nobody remembers it.
We do the opposite. Pankis brings a live station to your event and makes everything on site — poffertjes poured into a traditional Dutch griddle and served warm, or fresh strawberries dipped in premium chocolate and finished with whatever the guest in front of us asks for. The making is the part people gather around.
It is also the practical option more often than it sounds. Neither station needs kitchen access, so both work in a private home, an office, a hired hall or a venue that will not allow cooking equipment. We set up, serve, and clear up afterwards.

Each of these books differently — guest ages, run time and venue access all change what works. Every one has its own page.

Questions
Dessert catering, answered
What does dessert catering mean at Pankis?
It means the dessert is made at your event rather than delivered to it. We bring a live station, set up, and cook or dip in front of your guests. You get two things to choose from: authentic Dutch mini pancakes on a traditional griddle, and chocolate covered strawberries dipped to order.
Do you make cakes?
No. We are a live station rather than a bakery, so we do not do cakes, cookies or cupcakes. Most of our bookings sit alongside a cake rather than replacing it — the cake gets its moment and the station gets the hour afterwards.
What kinds of events do you cater?
Weddings and receptions, corporate and client events, bar and bat mitzvahs, quinceañeras and sweet sixteens, graduations, baby and bridal showers, birthdays, holiday parties and community events across Greater Cincinnati.
What do you need from our venue?
Somewhere to set up. The strawberry station runs cold and needs no power at all; the pancake griddle needs a single outlet. Neither needs kitchen access, which is why they work in private homes, offices and venues that will not allow cooking equipment.
Can we book both stations?
Yes, and for larger guest counts it is usually the better call. Two stations mean two queues instead of one, and guests get two completely different desserts at the same event.
Which areas do you serve?
Cincinnati, plus Hamilton, Butler and Warren counties in Ohio and Covington in Northern Kentucky — twenty areas in total, from Norwood and Wyoming out to Mason, Lebanon, Middletown and Dayton.
